About the role

System Application Administrator I supports the reliability, availability, security, and compliance of operational technology systems used across renewable energy operations. Working under direct supervision, the role performs defined monitoring, maintenance, documentation, access-support, endpoint, and infrastructure tasks using established procedures, and promptly escalates exceptions or higher-complexity issues to senior administrators. Responsibilities include monitoring system health and uptime, performing entry-level hardware and endpoint support, executing backup and log validation checklists, handling Tier 1 user support requests, updating asset and configuration records, assisting with basic virtual machine activities, validating inventory information, supporting field activities, documenting access points for NERC CIP readiness, preparing approved updates for patching, and participating in training and knowledge-sharing activities. The role requires an associate’s degree or equivalent practical experience, relevant IT and OT experience, foundational system administration knowledge, and the ability to follow documented procedures in operational and compliance-sensitive environments.
