About the role

Offshore Control Room Operations Engineer required for a major offshore wind farm developer based in Ireland. The role involves developing and maintaining offshore control room operating policies, procedures, playbooks, operating instructions, shift handover requirements and operator training material; supporting signal and data management; defining operational readiness requirements; supporting control room signal interfaces and HMI requirements; establishing signal interface, migration and testing philosophies; conducting operational design risk assessments; supporting operational interfaces and handover boundaries; supporting commissioning, energisation and operational acceptance; contributing to stage-gate reviews; and coordinating with key stakeholders. Requirements include Chartered Engineer status, a BEng degree, Safe Pass certification, at least 10 years of relevant experience in power system operations, commissioning or operational readiness, experience with safety systems and control room operations, strong understanding of SCADA/HMI, alarm management, signal interfaces, operational technology and secondary systems, experience with offshore transmission assets or HV substations being desirable, experience developing operational policies and readiness criteria, experience reviewing developer or EPC submissions and commissioning requirements, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a full driving licence.
