About the role
Cadeler is seeking a Senior Lifting Engineer to join its Construction team. The role is responsible for lifting engineering and lifting operations across the vessel fleet, with a focus on safe and efficient delivery for offshore wind projects. Key responsibilities include acting as Appointed Person for project lifting plans, developing lifting concepts, reviewing lifting and rigging drawings, approving subcontractor lift plans, maintaining project lifting documentation, reviewing method statements, supporting risk assessments and HAZIDs, providing technical lifting guidance, briefing offshore crews and deck supervisors, attending first loadouts and installations, conducting site audits, monitoring project progress, and supporting process and cost improvements. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, along with proven experience in lifting equipment design, development, and project management, preferably in offshore wind or maritime environments. Strong knowledge of lifting and rigging operations and relevant standards and regulations is required, together with experience managing subcontractors and strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
